About the game
Shiny Catch is a cozy fishing game for iPhone and Android, made by Variay Games. Hold to cast, tap when a fish bites, then keep the fish inside the catch zone as you reel it in.
Willow Lake holds bluegill, perch, trout, bass, carp, catfish, walleye and pike. Unlock Crystal Caverns for stranger fish, from glass catfish and lantern eels to the Moon Koi. Now and then a catch comes up shiny, giant, golden or rainbow. Keep your favourites in an aquarium that earns coins, even while you're away.

Is Shiny Catch free?
Yes. Shiny Catch is free to download and play, and you can unlock every lake and catch every fish without paying. Two optional in-app purchases are each bought once and kept: Coral Palace adds 4 aquarium slots, and the Golden Rod makes the catch zone 10% wider.
Does Shiny Catch have ads?
No. Shiny Catch has no ads of any kind: no banners, and no videos to watch for rewards.
How rare are shiny fish in Shiny Catch?
About 1 in 20 fish comes up shiny and sells for 2× the coins. Rarer still: giant fish, 1 in 33, sell for 3×; golden fish, 1 in 100, for 5×; and rainbow fish, 1 in 500, for 10×. Golden Hour, 15 minutes every 3 hours, triples each of these chances.
Does Shiny Catch work offline?
Yes. Shiny Catch plays without an internet connection, and your progress is saved on your phone. You only need a connection to buy or restore the optional purchases.
Do I need an account to play Shiny Catch?
No. There's no sign-up or login. Purchases belong to your Apple or Google account, so Restore purchases in Settings brings them back on a new phone.
What data does the Shiny Catch app collect?
No personal data. The app sends nothing to us and has no accounts, ads or tracking, and your progress stays on your phone. The privacy policy has the details, including what the stores' own purchase software does.
