Charm Blocks: privacy policy
Who we are
Charm Blocks is published by Ruijia Huang. For any question about privacy, email support@variay.com.
What we collect
Nothing ourselves. The app has no accounts, and it sends nothing to us.
It shows ads only when you choose to watch one, for a reward in the game. The ads come from Google AdMob, whose software in the app collects some data to show them, as below.
Ads from Google AdMob
Each time the app starts, Google’s software asks Google whether the law where you are needs your consent for ads. When the app gets an ad ready or shows one, it sends Google details such as your device’s approximate location (from its IP address), an identifier for your device, the ads you see and tap, and how the app and its ads are working, crash reports included.
Google uses them to show ads, to measure them and to prevent fraud, under its privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and its rules for apps that show its ads (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
The app asks only for ads that are suitable for teenagers.
No tracking
The app doesn’t ask your age, so wherever you are it treats every player as under the age of digital consent: Google’s ads are never personalised, Google gets no advertising identifier, and the app never asks to track you.
Where the law asks for it, Settings › Privacy choices opens Google’s privacy choices, where you can see and change what you have agreed to.
What stays on your phone
The app keeps your game progress, your settings and which purchases you own on your phone, so the game remembers them. Your phone’s own backup may include them.
Purchases
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, under Apple’s or Google’s own terms and privacy policies. The store’s own purchase software in the app talks to Apple or Google to make and check purchases. The app only learns which items you own. It never sees your payment details.
On Android, Google’s purchase software in the app also sends Google technical details about how its own work goes, such as whether a call worked and how long it took, under Google’s privacy policy. They contain nothing from your game.
Deleting your data
Settings › Reset progress deletes your progress and settings on this phone. It keeps the list of what you have bought, so your purchases stay.
Deleting the app deletes everything it kept on your phone. Your purchases come back from the store when you use the same account.
What Google’s ad software collected is Google’s to keep or delete, under its privacy policy, which says how to ask Google about it.
Children
The game is made for players aged 13 and over. We collect nothing from anyone, and the app asks only for ads suitable for teenagers.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at https://games.variay.com/charm-blocks/privacy with a new date, and the app will show it.
